I Know Where It's At

One of things I like about living here in England, other than Cadbury, is that it is easy for me to keep on top of the British music scene. It seems that one of the biggest musical stories right now is that both Take That and All Saints are making a comeback. You can imagine how exciting this is for us. With that and Oasis' greatest hits album having been recently released, I often feel like I'm back in junior high school when I listen to the radio.

In slightly better musical news, I was fortunate enough to hear The Darkness' Christmas song, "Christmas Time (Don't Let The Bells End)", on BBC1 the other day and it instantly put me in a good mood. I defy anyone to listen to that song (or any song by The Darkness for that matter) without smiling at least once. Nobody says/sings "It's Christmas Time!" like The Darkness. Literally.

The countdown to my return home for the holidays is down to ten days. I know this because my advent calendars say so (yes, that's calendars plural -see pictures below). Ten days! It's hard to believe that the past four months have passed so quickly.

And finally, here are some pictures from our recent trip to Canterbury.

Meg and I on our unexpected "side trip" to Trafalgar Square in London. Note my expert camera-work, as well as the pigeons in the background. We are blissfully unaware that they are about to attack us.

The ruins of St. Augustine's Abbey at Canterbury. It wasn't the "famous" St. Augustine, but it was still pretty cool.

Lastly, some pictures of the Cathedral, the Cathedral gate, and the town centre of Canterbury.
